Daily Routine and Light Dressing Assistance

Light support to start or end the day: choosing clothes, organizing personal items, and simple dressing assistance. Needs involving a fall risk, a complex transfer, or significant personal care must be assessed separately.

  • Choosing and laying out clothes
  • Helping put on a sweater, jacket or ordinary socks
  • Preparing necessary personal items
  • Reminding the person of their agreed routine
  • Supporting a person whose mobility is stable

About compression stockings: prescribed compression stockings require prior validation. Once approved, this task falls under Trois Pierre's nursing services rather than companion care.

A presence that feels like you

At Trois Pierre, companion care is a matter of heart as much as skill. The person assigned to your care is chosen for their attentiveness, gentleness and consistency, offering a reassuring presence throughout daily life. This service, distinct from nursing care, complements our offering harmoniously: for any medical assessment, emergency or continuous monitoring, Trois Pierre's nursing services or the appropriate resources (CLSC, emergency services) remain the right places to turn.

Check Your Eligibility

Financial Assistance and Tax Credits

Some individuals may be eligible for government programs or tax credits. Eligibility depends on personal circumstances.

These programs are not automatic and may not apply to all services offered by Trois Pierre. We encourage you to check your eligibility directly with Revenu Québec or your CLSC.

Tax Credit for Home Support of Seniors

Certain services may be eligible for the tax credit for home support of seniors. Eligibility and the amount depend on several factors (age, income, family situation, place of residence) and must be verified with Revenu Québec.

Revenu Québec's official page

Home Autonomy Allowance (AAD)

A Government of Québec program, offered through your CLSC, which can cover hours of home assistance based on a needs assessment.

Trois Pierre inc. is a private company; eligibility for the above programs is not guaranteed and must be confirmed directly with Revenu Québec or your CLSC.

Public Network and Trois Pierre

Waiting for a spot at the CLSC?

A Government of Québec program, administered through your CLSC. Depending on a needs assessment, the individual may sometimes choose and employ the provider of their choice for certain services, within the guidelines set by the CLSC. Eligibility and choice of provider must be confirmed directly with your CLSC.

While waiting for a CLSC assessment, or in addition to your current services, Trois Pierre can:

  • Provide a presence quickly, without waiting for the public network's assessment
  • Supplement hours already granted by the CLSC when they're not enough
  • Help you document your needs before requesting an assessment
  • Adjust visit frequency to your availability, without any administrative process

Frequently Asked Questions About Companion Care

In an emergency, 911 is called immediately. Companion care is not a medical monitoring service or emergency care.

Not automatically. Transportation in a vehicle must be confirmed in advance according to agreed arrangements.

No. Medication management and preparation are not part of the companion care service.

Light dressing assistance may include ordinary socks, depending on needs and safety conditions. Prescribed compression stockings require prior validation, and this task is then handled by Trois Pierre's nursing services.

At least 24 hours' notice is requested to cancel or reschedule a visit at no charge. The exact terms are agreed with you before the first visit.

A brief assessment of your needs is done before confirming the service: type of help needed, number of hours, frequency and contact information. A discussion then confirms the details before the first visit.
